"From Now on our troubles will be out of sight." - JUDY GARLAND

I'm sitting here listening to a Judy Garland Christmas, drinking an amazing cup of Highlander Grog coffee in a cute little coffee shop on the corner of downtown St. Charles, looking at all the lovely christmas decorations, and I then I started thinking....This really is the best time of year!! You have all these people walking around in such a beautiful scene and you can just tell how happy they are. Whether they are letting the feeling of Jesus Christ fill there heart, or awaiting a homecoming of a soldier from overseas on a holiday leave, everyone just seems so much more happy. Its just amazing how this time of year just seems to bring everyone together.  There are people who don't talk to their families all year round, but on this very special day they seem to make time for one another.
There is just so much going on that makes your really appreciate everything you have.  It makes me realize how lucky I am to have the family that I do. I'm so lucky that we all keep in touch on a regular basis, and even the little accomplishment of a family member is something worth celebrating.  This will be the 2nd Christmas with out my Grammy Burciago and I can't help but hear her little voice singing christmas songs and just feeling her love surround our family. I remember making the infamous Grammy cookies with her one year and her singing Jingle Bells and Rudolph the Red Nose Raindeer, as she did the little Grammy shuffle dance (you know the one I'm talking about ).  Its memories like these that I'm greatly reminded of during this time of year.
It seems like we are all need of some great reminding of how lucky we are. We all need to remember to keep in mind the true meaning of Christmas. We need to remember how family is the greatest gift of all. Remember to keep those memories blooming don't let them sit in the back of you mind till you start to forget them. Spread them and share them, and  maybe make some new ones with your children, nephew, nieces, or a good friend. Just remember that this is the greatest time of year!!!

"Attention Attention may I have all Your eyes and ears" - THE ACADEMY IS...

So here is the thing...I can't believe the type of people that come through my line at Walmart which got me thinking that there should definitely be rules to being a good customer.  What do you say? Great idea? well, I thought so too :)

6 SIMPLE Rules to being a good (tolerable)Costumer:

1. Stay off the phone!!
  - it wouldn't be so bad if you didn't expect me to automatically know you wanted seperate reciepts or that you wanted to just have a price check on something....point blank... don't get pissed at me because your not paying attention

2. Don't Smack Your Gum
- don't talk and smack your gum while your talking its not cute and its really hard to understand you. Plus its just plain rude!!!

3. Keep Control of your Damn Kids
- if you are so unorganized that you can't even keep your kids under control LEAVE THEM HOME!!! if your kids fall out of the cart its YOUR FAULT...if you come up to me because you left your kids in the game room and now don't know where they are its YOUR FAULT!

4. DON'T TALK TO ME LIKE I'M AN IDIOT!
- when you ask a question don't talk to me like i'm an idiot because um there is clearly a reason your asking the question.

5. Just be nice!!
- we deal with millions of annoying, pissed off, and tired people a day...but seriously we don't care. we put on a smile and tell you to have a nice day so don't be rude! the more rude you are the less likely we are going to be willing to help and work with you. YELLING WILL NOT GIVE YOU YOUR WAY.  Learn that when your wrong your wrong!!!

6. Don't try and tell me whats what
- you're trying to tell me that a holiday item is 50% off when that holiday hasn't even happened yet?...hmm lets think about this. how about NO!! i'll be nice and do a price check but here is the thing, you were wrong and there is nothing i can do about it.

"It's these expressions I never give That keep me searching for a heart of gold" - NEIL YOUNG

Its been awhile since I've last taken the time to post something, and I have another plan! So here it is....I'm going to go back to school. I love doing hair and I will always do hair it is my ultimate passion. However there is something that I have another passion for and that is my life as an athlete! I have strayed away from this life as I've moved on past high school and miss being an athlete so much. I have made the decision to go back to school for athletic training. After the wedding there is a possible chance that Kyle and I will be moving to Denver, in this case, I would start attending Metro State College. They have a really great athletic training program. Another
reason I have decided to do this is, I want the personal goal of having a college degree.  Hairdressing will always be my passion and will be my main career; however, I want to get back to my roots of athletics and its something that I have a lot of knowledge about. I'm doing what I love and my life is coming together great, so the next step is to full fill my personal goals. That is where my mission trip and earning my college degree will come into play.
Also I'm training to run my mom's final marathon with her in April.  I've done really well mastering a 5 mile run.  Up until this point I have stayed really motivated, but lately I've been dragging on. With a previous knee injury resurfacing its getting harder and harder to motivate myself. I'm hoping that a little TLC to my body and God helping keep my motivation going I'll be able to overcome this and keep pushing on. I mean after all its no pain no gain right?

"Your're Only Half as Good as You Seem" - Halifax

So here is the thing....is anyone else completely tired of people always having an excuse for something?  It seems like lately I've been running into issues where people will come up with the most random excuses just so whatever they've done or whatever it is that they are currently doing doesn't seem so bad.  Here is what I think....if your doing something that you need to make an excuse about than you probably shouldn't be doing it.  For example....people cheating on people after saying they love the person they cheated on.  You know I'm no genius but you can't possibly be in love with someone if you're willing to hurt them, but of course, the person who did the cheating will come up with some excuse to try and justify what it was that they did. Than, when they are not forgiven they try and blame what they did on the other person. How does this even make sense? For another example....I deal with people on a daily basis, and believe me working in costumer service you can bet I've heard my fair share of excuses. Here's the thing I'm sorry that your card was declined because of insufficient funds, your failed to save your receipt on an item you spent over $100 on, or you just simply weren't paying attention to what it was you were doing. Some how I just don't see why this is my fault and why it is that you are yelling at me. Not only that but I don't want to hear the 10 hour long story about why I should do something or why it is that on something as important as saving a receipt for an expensive item didn't happen. I simply believe that people should just own up to what it is that they have done or what it is that are doing and quit trying to blame everything on everyone else. If you don't like it don't do. If you don't like it don't put yourself in that situation. As far as I can see it's pretty cut and dry.

"Something Happens When Your Caught Searching for an Answer" - citizen cope

So I have made the decision to go on a mission trip.  I'm not sure when but a very select few no this has been something i've been trying to decide for awhile.  There is one in April that I have been asked to be apart of but since that is just a few months away from my wedding there is another opportunity I have to go in October 2011. I have had the benefit of living an amazing life. I have close friends and an amazing family and I would love to make a difference in someone's life who was a little less fortunate.
